Random Writing Quote:
“Writers fish for the right words like fishermen fish for, um, whatever those aquatic creatures with fins and gills are called.”
Member info for Ed Dzwonkowski
Ed wrote and self-published a nonfiction book - 20 years ago.
Now that the sales have been dwindling on that one, he figures it's time to come out with another book, so he joined this writer's group with the hope that it'll motivate him to finish this second nonfiction book. (It's working! You people are great!).
And while he's at it, he supposes he might as well start in on that novel too. He's been mustering up the courage to tackle that monster, thinking this writer's group will inspire him on his journey in fiction-writing too. (It's working! You people are great!).
In the intervening years, Ed wrote the lyrics for an album’s worth of songs, and produced that album. Check out “Angels Are All Around You” by The H Street Band at www.FollowYourPlan.com.
In a past life many quill pens ago, Ed optioned a Richard North Patterson novel, and wrote and marketed the screenplay adapted from the novel. (No sale). He also teamed up with a funny guy and co-wrote a sit-com spec script. This got them a pitch session with some TV producers to pitch ideas for sitcoms. (No sale). (No beachfront, ocean view Malibu home, but who needs that to be happy - right?).
While waiting for those paychecks from writing to pick-up, Ed remains grateful for his day job, which he’s enjoyed for many years. It’s the reason you get the photo of him with the suit and tie. He is a successful (see the suit and tie) estate planning attorney, who also handles trust administration and probate, in Huntington Beach. He has empathy and compassion for everyone he meets, but he especially prides himself on the personal, caring service he renders to his clients. And if you also like a lawyer with a sense of humor, he’s got that too.
